Global Risk Assessment Device
Welcome to the GRAD!
The Ohio State University has developed the GRAD (Global Risk Assessment Device) in order to assist youth-serving professionals in making recommendations and referrals that are based on reliable and valid information about risk factors in 11 different domains.
Please go to http://gradcis.com/ for more information about different levels of use currently available to youth and family-serving agencies and organizations.
The Center for Family Research is involved in research and evaluation activities related to use of the GRAD. Sponsored research agreements support the continued research and development necessary to advance and improve the utilization of the GRAD. A constantly refreshed database (currently containing over 10,000 youth and families that have been assessed through the use of the GRAD information system) allows faculty, staff, and students at one of the most prestigious research universities to make substantial contributions to the social science literature on court-involved youth and their families. In turn, these published articles continue to document the psychometric properties of the GRAD and the applicability of its results.
